Alpine Bank - First Generation Scholarship
Guided by the philanthropic vision of J. Robert Young, Alpine Bank’s Chairman of the Board, many scholarships have been provided to students pursuing educational goals. The purpose of the Alpine Bank – First Generation Scholarship is to open doors to qualified first generation (student whose parent(s) did not complete a college degree) high school graduates to obtain a college education. Recognizing that these students are important contributors to the work force and our communities, this scholarship will support the cost of in-district tuition, books and fees to students who are pursuing an Associate or Bachelor’s degree and would not otherwise be able to attend college
Eligibility: Applicants must be a first generation, have a GPA of 2.5 or higher, attend full time, be pursuing an Associate or Bachelor’s degree and be a graduating senior from Aspen High School, Basalt High School, Battle Mountain High School, Bridges High School, Coal Ridge High School, Eagle Valley High School, Glenwood Springs High School, Grand Valley High School, Red Canyon High School, Rifle High School, Roaring Fork High School, Snowy Peaks High School, Steamboat Springs High School Summit High School or Yampa Mountain High School
If recipient successfully completes the first year, the scholarship is eligible for renewal for a second year.
