Ethan Alexander Turner Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is offered in memory of CMC student Ethan Alexander Turner, who passed away in a single-vehicle accident just months before earning his AA degree in Outdoor Education at the Spring Valley Campus.
Ethan loved the outdoors. From the time he was a child he was teaching himself how to live off the grid. He was passionate about survival skills, sustainability, and the environment. He was both a minimalist and activist. For all his passion about the environment, he treated all humans with respect, no matter their background or economic status. He held the intangibles of humanity—loyalty, honesty and integrity—in the highest regard.
Eligibility: A non-traditional student pursuing an Associates of Arts in Outdoor Education at the Spring Valley Campus. Student must be in state or in district.
This is a full cost of attendance scholarship and renewable.
