R. Joan Lewis Memorial Endowed Scholarship

Joan Lewis drew on personal experience to help women have a chance for a new beginning in her work as Director of Student Services at the Roaring Fork Campus-Spring Valley for 12 years. Joan encouraged and assisted many students in their education and was dedicated to equality for women in every aspect of life. Joan was devoted to music, played the organ for the Methodist church and was an active square and round dancer. This scholarship was established in the memory of Joan through memorial gifts from her family and friends.

Eligibility: Applicants must be enrolled for at least six credit hours (half-time) and must be in-district residents attending or planning to enroll at one of the Roaring Fork Campuses. Preference will be given to first-year students who are considered displaced homemakers.
