Clough Fellows Scholarship

Separate application required – http://www.cloughfellows.org
Longtime Rifle resident Genevieve Clough believed strongly in the value of continued education. This scholarship was originally established through annual gifts followed by an estate gift upon her passing in 2010.

Mrs. Clough established a multi-million dollar endowment to provide a need-based fellowship for graduates of Rifle High School, Grand Valley High School and Coal Ridge High School who want to pursue an Associates or Bachelors Degree or Vocational/Technical Certification. There are two separate fellowship programs: one administered through the Western Colorado Community Foundation, and the other through the Colorado Mountain College Foundation. The actual award amount, and numbers of fellowships awarded, will depend on individual student needs and on the institutions of learning chosen. Funds will be awarded as last-dollar aid after other means of financial support for the student have been exhausted.

Eligibility: Individuals graduating from Rifle, Coal Ridge or Grand Valley High Schools and recent GED achievers, residing in Western Garfield County, are encouraged to apply. Applicants must have resided in the Garfield No. Re-2 school district or Garfield School District 16 for at least one year prior to enrollment date.
