Paula Marr's Future Educator Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship has been established to honor Paula Marie (Gilchrist) Marr, Educator, who spent her entire career as a teacher of students and other teachers. She had a great love of God, her family, and friends. Paula was never satisfied with being a good teacher and she always was learning new ways to become a great teacher who could reach as many students as possible. She was an expert on instruction and could get unnervingly excited about the fine details of teaching. Her excitement and passion for teaching eventually lead her to becoming the instructional facilitator for the Roaring Fork School District, where she could help teachers who were overwhelmed by the difficulties of their work. Many teachers leaned on her, sometimes literally, and she had the gift of lifting everyone’s spirits. It was Paula’s hope that the educator program at CMC would help produce high quality educators. This scholarship has been set up to continue her dream of helping teachers become great at what they do.
