Ray Enright Memorial Scholarship for the CMC CLETA Program

John Raymond “Ray” Enright began his illustrious career in law enforcement on the streets of New York City. While there, he led a task force that convicted mob boss Vito Genovese. He also served on the US Senate’s McClellan Committee while an agent in the Bureau of Narcotics and then later became the Regional Director of the DEA. Ray was appointed by Governor Dick Lamm as Director of the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, and then by Governor Roy Romer to serve on the Colorado Board of Parole.

Ray’s wife, Janie, has established this scholarship in memory of Ray to honor his lifetime commitment to law enforcement.

Eligibility: Student must be enrolling in the CLETA certificate program at the Colorado Mountain College Roaring Fork or Summit County Campuses. Individual must meet all requirements necessary to successfully complete the program and be eligible for employment as a law enforcement officer.
