Gallagher Scholarship for B.A. Degree in Sustainability Studies

Gary and Genia Gallagher have always believed in the importance of education; both were fortunate to begin their careers without the burden of student loans. The opportunity to afford a promising student a similar experience is extremely rewarding. Given the issues facing us today and in the future, the Gallagher’s vision for the graduating student in Sustainability Studies is to graduate with the critical thinking and problem-solving skills required to understand the science behind various sustainability options, as well as the financial and economic merits of those options. Eligibility: The scholarship is available to in-district students entering their first year of a four-year bachelor degree program in Sustainability Studies at the Summit Campus of Colorado Mountain College. Applicants must be Summit County residents and must demonstrate financial need. Transfer credits will be permitted. The scholarship recipient will be required to complete at least 24 credit hours per year toward both his/her Associate and Bachelor degree. Award Amount: Award to cover full tuition, books, and fees for freshman through senior years. The award will be renewed each year based on the student remaining at Colorado Mountain College, pursuing his/her Bachelor Degree in Sustainability, and maintaining a GPA of 3.0 or better.
