John Hazard Memorial Endowed Scholarship
John Hazard, a decorated World War II veteran, was an active member of the Vail-Eagle Valley community. He served as a President of the Colorado Mountain College Foundation and was a council member for the Town of Avon. John and his wife, Nicole, worked relentlessly at raising funds for students in Eagle County. This scholarship was created in loving memory by friends and family, and by faculty and staff of Colorado Mountain College. Eligibility: This scholarship is designed for women with dependents who are in-district residents of Eagle County. Students must exhibit financial need and commitment to attend college full or part-time and must enroll in a program which will enable them to earn a college degree or certificate in order to become self-sufficient. Award Amount: Varies according to the earnings generated by the investment related to the scholarship. Funds will be available fall semester after application.
