Storm King 14 Memorial Endowed Scholarship

This endowed scholarship is established as a living memorial to the 14 firefighters who fell during a wild land fire on Storm King Mountain near Glenwood Springs on July 6, 1994. This fund is created by the Storm King 14 Monument Committee and the City Council of Glenwood Springs, Colorado.

Eligibility: This is a one-time award to a college student in the following priority order: 1) an immediate family member of one of the fallen firefighters; 2) a child of a member of the fire fighting units located in: Missoula, MT; Savannah River Forest Station, SC; Grand Junction, CO; Prineville, OR; McCall, ID; or the greater Glenwood Springs, CO area (including Garfield, Pitkin & Eagle counties); or 3) a student pursuing a fire management or natural resource degree or certificate program. Applicants must have a cumulative 3.0 GPA, attend or plan to attend college full time and demonstrate financial need.
