The Family of James T. Morrissey
Established to honor and to celebrate James T. Morrissey and his love for the outdoors. He was an environmentalist and had a deep love for trees, mountains, autumn, and winter. His true passion was forestry, although growing up during the Great Depression and serving in World War II didn’t give him the opportunity to follow his dream of being a “lumberjack”. His love and passion for the outdoors was instilled in his son, Jon; his dream was Jon’s too. He strongly encouraged and supported his pursuit of a forestry and outdoor recreation career. The Morrissey family is happy to offer this scholarship to CMC Timberline Campus students pursuing and realizing their dreams of working in the great outdoors.
