Paul and Virginia Lappala

Paul and Virginia Lappala were well known in the Carbondale area since their arrival in 1972. Besides his work in education, Paul was heavily involved in volunteerism in the community. Virginia was quoted as being a �master teacher� and actively volunteered as a tutor for students with reading disabilities. The many friends and neighbors of the Lappalas have established this scholarship in honor of all they gave to their community and to Colorado Mountain College.
