Marge Lowderback Memorial

Marge Lowderback Memorial

Marge Lowderback had a life-long dream of earning her Associate of Arts degree – even at the young age of 80. Marge realized that dream when she graduated from the Colorado Mountain College Rifle Campus in May 2002. Marge had a great desire for everyone to continue their education and pursue their own life-long dreams. Many recall the “Hi Neighbor” column she wrote weekly for the Rifle Citizen Telegram. Sadly, Marge passed away on June 2, 2002. Those at the West Garfield Campus remember enjoying Marge’s humor as well as admiring her determination.
Thanks to a lead gift from Encana Oil & Gas (USA), Inc., along with contributions from local citizens and CMC employees, the Marge Lowderback Memorial Endowed scholarship has been established to celebrate the vibrancy of her desire to learn.
