Marge and Jerry Gavenda

Marge and Jerry Gavenda are strong supporters of their Frisco and Breckenridge communities serving on multiple nonprofit boards and philanthropic efforts. They wanted to add Colorado Mountain College to that list of support after hearing from friends, staff, and students about CMC. Because Marge married at a young age, she never had the opportunity to go to college although she always saw great value in higher education and encouraged her own children to attend. Marge stated, “Being married at 17, I would have loved to go to college, but there was just no money. I always had a yearning to go to school later in life.” She and Jerry are establishing this annual scholarship to support and make a way for someone who may be in Marge�s former position, a working parent or nontraditional student, who would like to continue his/her education.
