In Memory of Max and Maureen Kunze

This scholarship has been created in the memory of Maurine and Max Kunze. After graduating from Glenwood Springs High School, Maurine Bryant-Kunze studied voice at the Denver College of Music and then moved to New York where she continued voice culture. Singing was one of her interests throughout life. Maurine met Max Kunze in New Jersey, in 1938, where they married and opened and operated a beauty salon. The couple retired and moved to Glenwood Springs in 1963. They continued to travel extensively and were involved in collecting many items of artistic value. Max Kunze died in 1991; Maurine Kunze died in 2003.
