Friends and Family of Tom Buesch

Dr. Tom Buesch was a life-long educator, 2023 CMC Full-time Faculty of the Year for the Aspen & Carbondale campuses, and beloved Arts & Humanities professor at CMC for over three decades. Friends and family of Tom created this scholarship in honor of his 2024 retirement. Buesch began teaching, first part-time, then full-time, at the Aspen campus in 1991. He taught hundreds of philosophy, communication, literature, and history classes such as “Intro to Film Art,” “Greek Mythology,” “World Literature to 1600” and so many more. In that time, he taught hundreds, if not thousands, of Aspen students and amassed an enthusiastic following. This scholarship celebrates Tom’s love of teaching and the impact he made on so many.
