Friends and family of Steve “Zman” Zuckerman
Friends and family of Steve “Zman” Zuckerman established the Steve “Zman” Zuckerman Memorial Scholarship to honor his extraordinary legacy. This scholarship will continue Steve’s passion for saving lives by supporting students pursuing an associate certificate degree in CMC’s Paramedic program, or a Certificate in Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Rope Rescue Technician, Wilderness Emergency Medical Services ( WEMS) or Wilderness Medical Professional, or other applicable wilderness based-health care educational offerings. Priority will be given to members of the Eagle County Paramedic Services Organization, Vail Mountain Rescue and/or Beaver Creek Ski Patrol wishing to advance their educational training.
Steve Zuckerman was more than a paramedic, ski patroller, and mountain rescuer, he was a dedicated professional who served the Eagle County community for over 25 years. His unwavering commitment to helping others, often in the most dangerous and difficult conditions, left an indelible mark on all who knew him. Whether responding to a backcountry rescue in the middle of the night or teaching doctors how to conduct medical rescues on the slopes, Steve exemplified the highest standard of selflessness and bravery. His passion for service and his profound impact on the lives he touched continues to resonate within the community he served so tirelessly.
