Donors of the Spring Valley Neighbors Scholarship

Spring Valley ranchers Jim and Sharon Nieslanik were the college’s very first donors, with a gift of 75 acres in 1966. Neighboring ranchers joined their land donation, and a total of 811 acres were gifted to create the Spring Valley campus, the first of the college’s two campuses (the other at the time being Leadville). In 2023 the Nieslaniks chose to match annual gifts to the CMC Foundation from Spring Valley residents, and friends of Spring Valley, to create the Spring Valley Neighbors Scholarship.
