Alexandra Yajko

Alexandra Yako held the position of Colorado Mountain College Foundation Director and CEO from 1991 until 2010. During that period she raised over $20 million dollars to support Colorado Mountain College’s education enrichment programs, buildings and scholarships. Alexandra established the Foundation Scholarship program which currently meets the needs of 500+ CMC students each year.

Alexandra serves on the board of ChildHelp, a children’s treatment center for sexual abuse in Glenwood Springs, and is past president and an over 20-year member of the Glenwood Springs Rotary Club. And when the fatal Storm King Fire struck Glenwood Springs in 1994, Yajko instantly jumped in, volunteering her time and energy, assisting and giving support to firefighters.

One of the strongest attributes Alexandra possesses is her unwavering ability to praise others’ good works, taking the attention from herself.
Her generosity helps support the Anna and David Rozenberg Memorial Scholarship.
